HEARTS Program

The HEARTS After School Program serves students at twenty elementary schools in the Riverside Unified School District. Its mission is to provide a safe and positive learning environment for students after regular school hours. The program consists of daily educational, recreational and enrichment components.

Students are expected to follow all school rules
(see Parent/Student Handbook) and act respectfully while in the program.

Space in the program is limited; students from 2nd to 6th grade only. Program funding requires regular daily attendance defined in the Education Code as five (5) days per week for the full program.

The program will take place on each day of school from the close of school until 6:00 pm. Parents/guardians must ensure that the HEARTS participant is picked up daily no later than 6:00 pm.

Repeated late pick-ups, misconduct, or failure to meet attendance requirements may result in the dismissal of the student from the program.

For safety reasons, students being picked up must be signed out by their parent/guardian over the age of 18 years old.
